This weekend we’re extremely proud to be hosting an audition day for the National Youth Theatre. Our students are super excited about this great opportunity!
Great day today at the agency as two of our young actors have auditions. Maia is auditioning in London for the lead in an exciting new TV series and Bertie is auditioning for a lead in a short film. All the best guys!
Filming has begun again this year at APA. Our students are shooting short films and music videos. Exciting stuff!
Tomorrow our lucky students will get the chance to participate in a brand new workshop. Sabrina Richmond is a performer and writer from South Africa. She loves new writing and has performed in new plays in theatres across London such as Theatre Royal Haymarket, The Pleasance, Etcetera Theatre, Theatre 503, Southwark Playhouse, Lyric Hammersmith, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Arcola & The Bunker theatre. Her first play An African in the Snow – a migratory experience of loving & living in the cracks of identity across five countries – has an upcoming residency at The Pleasance (Islington) Theatre’s LABS programme. Her background in journalism drives her interest in issue-based storytelling. She undertook her actor training at an Acting for Film Conservatory, New York Film Academy, New York. She is passionate about using the performance arts, in particular the use of music and movement, for healing & recognising ones own voice, even amid moments of doubt. Her workshop Recognising your Voice for Performance and Writing draws on methods that aided her journey to performance, getting text on the page and explores the idea of personal identity.
Well done to one of our APA Agency artists, Ignacy, he has landed a lead role in a short film shooting in London this weekend! 🙂
Wishing Ignacy all the best for his great audition today in London for a short film 🙂
Just been clearing out the footage from last year’s filming ahead of this term’s screen acting and we came across this beauty. It did make us laugh…and we miss all of our Seniors who have now graduated and gone onto university, film and drama schools! Looking forward to making further ‘classics’ this year! 🙂
